What chassis GVRW do you have, and have you made any modifications as of yet?

My W20 is pretty rough too, but I think it's due to the truck-like chassis. It beats me to death on I-5 where all the semi's run. You could check to see if you can run a little lower tire air pressure, but that depends on the load on the front and rear axles.

That's probably in the top two reasons why people eventually move up to a diesel pusher.

Replace your Bilstein shocks with a set of Koni FSD shocks and only use 86 PSI of air pressure in your front tires. bagman.

As stated replace your shocks with Koni FSD weigh all 4 corners and set tire pressure the tire Mfg. suggestion for the weight. Your ride should improve quite a bit.

Funny I added the Bilstein Shocks to my 2001 W-20 when we had it. Worst beating we took was on I-59 in AL. and around Dallas.

Check see how you have MH loaded. Not all the weight on the rear end.

there use to be air bag kits for pickups and coaches but i don't remember the brand name. kit was for the front and rear suspension. helped with the ride and helped lift the back a little if you were pulling trailer.

I have an 03 W-20 Chasis......and it beats you to death too...if the road is rough, like in the right hand lanes of some hiways where trucks run. I did put Koni's on and it helped a little........not what I had hoped for though. I then weighed the vehicle and set the tire pressure to recommendations.........I was at 95 lbs and now I'm at 80lbs.......ride has improved a lot.

I got the most benefit from replacing the stock shock absorbers with Monroe RV-Matics (I'd use Konis today) and setting the tire pressures per the manufacturer's recommendations for the weight on wheels (this made a HUGE difference). Note that my tires are XZEs, not XRVs; that made a small ride difference, but that's not why I replaced the tires.

All of that said, the chassis is still basically a somewhat-refined MDT chassis, which one can't expect miracles from. Same is true for the Ford chassis. And, of course, there's roads (states, really) out there where you just can't win (like Louisiana).
