Has anyone used the Workhorse shop in Baton Rouge Louisiana? Its GM Varnado & Sons. I'm having a front end alignment done there on my W24 Pace Arrow, 2007.

Offshore,
I just got my Damon out of there two weeks ago. Had alignment and wheel seal fixed, few other small things.

I have mixed feelings, I caught the girl Rhonda I think her name is, within her first few weeks of working there. I brought coach in and gave her the list of things to do to it, needed it in week. She was somewhat confused and honestly felt as though I was talking foreign to her at times.

They did what I needed them to do, althought I felt expensive, (what isn't) but when communicating with her all week on the issues with the Coach, she never got figures right, etc. and was quoting repairs all over the board.

Overall I think they have a good shop, just need a better counter, if you will. There was another guy checking out when I was on a diesel and he was having some fits with them on explanations, etc.

I'm probably going to make a drive to Lafayette next time for Wkhse stuff to Billy Thibodeaux's. Have you tried or talked to Ross Downing in Hammond? Curious about their abilities being a car dealer but Wkhse shop as well.

During my last search for brake calipers, I was told by a Ross Downing employee that they were getting out of the WorkHorse buisness. I don't know why or if it is true.

Ahh, good to know. I'm pretty sure for related chassis work I'm going to make a trek west to Lafayette.

Cummish, thanks for the reply. As for as Ross Downing in Hammond, I purchased a car from them a bout ten years ago and had nothing but trouble with service. I will not be back to them. I am trying not to have to drive to Lafayette as of yet. I will try Varandos in BR and post my visit.

Ralph, yes I was at Varnado a few weeks ago and had a front end alignment. I was very satisfied with the friendliness and service. Gary was my service man and he explained everything to me. Only took about an hour for service and waited in the waiting room.Run about $93.00 plus tax.

Offshore, glad to hear. I may have to locate Gary on my next trip. I got a new IP Cluster approved from WH two weeks ago so I'm going to be scheduling that here soon.

Thanks and I guess I just got someone new and without much knowledge when I was in the shop.

Glad it worked out well for you.
