This comes a no suprise and even further lowers the resale value of our coaches. What happens if the new design calipers start to fail?

True that! We'll be here for the long term. Funny, I just had a guy call me here at the house (yesterday) who was the friend of a friend that told me that he couldn't get through to some 1st hand help & assistance so what does he do? He calls me here in the office!
This was my 2nd UFO tech support call.
I walked him through what he needed to do to get "hooked" and what he needed to do in order to "qualify" a dealer to work on his UFO. This case resolved itself quite well and per my recommendation, Doug & his DW are on their way to Terry Labonte in Greensboro, NC. Labonte will do a good job on the UFO because they have the supporting software for the WISE system called Cameo.
Doug is now a lot more aware of what to do and look for and the recommendations for towing and the precautions that he needed to be aware of. Absolutely amazing to me is that he wasn't aware of any of the remedies that I suggested. Why? Well basically because they aren't in the book or I don't believe he knew where to find the answers, but he was able to find somebody to help ...

Which truck parts dont fit the 8.1/allison? Alternator is a HD one but that can be rebuilt in most major metro areas.

Depreciation and use will impact it more than WH still operating as a company or not.
My 2005 MSRP'd at $109k base price and $134k at OTD. Current book is $32k. Im pretty sure the coach is at "floor" for awhile. Of course it wasnt my $134k that got dwindled down 6 figures.

I'm probably missing something but whose $134K did get dwindled down 6 figures. I sure know whose money got lost on my rigs depreciation. But we're sure having fun with it.

The previous owner. They took delivery of the coach Feb 2005 and it was $134k OTD on the original sales receipt/ window sticker. $125k plus sales tax. Purchased by me in early 2011 for well over $100k less and 20,000 additional miles

I think I predicted this a year so ago. With the gas chassis gone and the "bread truck" business not being what it use to be it should come as no surprise.
As far as TAC and Some Time Parts... it's only a matter of time before they disappear also.

Prediction? Was that like reading that Workhorse has not had a 8.1L engine to use since 2009 on a roadside bulletin board on the Interstate?
About bread trucks, 1,000 bread trucks were recently delivered to UPS in Canada with CNG engines.

Ahmmm ... "You" tell UPS that they no longer have any technical support or parts for their fleet vehicles.
If you see a UPS truck with a large stabilizer bar in front of the springs, it's a Workhorse.

interesting. I thought they were all Grumman. I know they were experimenting with alternative fuels. Thing about UPS is they pay cash for all their vehicles. Same thing for the planes.

I talking about total shut down.... mark my words.
TAC and UPS.... Yea, I bet they do get help. But, how about the RVer's?
I am seeing a lot more non bread truck chassis in the Fed Ex fleet, service and various delivery type company's.
Parts/Service ???? You should hear some of the phone calls I get and read a few of my emails.

Surely no one is really surprised that WH is out of the RV business. Dealers around here haven't stocked any new ones for a couple of years. The only brilliant thing they have done in recent memory is getting Navistar to buy them. And that was obviously a "big business decision" that "normal common sense minds" could never understand.
