woodpidgeon, The
Workhorse R-Series RDP is a 4 bag custom rail 50,000psi steel chassis featuring a 50° cut on a Arvin Meritor front axle. The rear axle is also made my Arvin Meritor. The vehicle has full air brakes and ABS. Gabriel shocks do the damping on this vehicle and they are very well suited to the task. Equipped with the Cummins ISC engine, the coach is equipped with exhaust brake for slowing your vehicle down. The large integrated cool pack and charge cooler occupy all the space through the rear grill work of the vehicle. The vehicle is equipped with an Allison World 3000MH 6 Speed automatic transmission.
The Presidio is most likely equipped with a Generac diesel generator. Service for the vehicle can be done any most Onan Cummins Coach Care facilities and or select Navistar dealers and select Workhorse Authorized Service Centers.
In its final year of production the R-Series was equipped with a C-7 CAT with ACERT.
When this vehicle was introduced, I participated in the ride & drive in Henderson, NV and wrote a rather lengthy article about it however I believe that to be lost when the website transitioned over to the new software.
