I'm looking at a Class A 2005 Bounder 34F on the W22 chassis.

Workhorse website lists the following on the VIN number:

Workhorse recall not performed...Campaign No. 60601-C Engine Fuel Rail Damper Retainer Clip...anybody know if this is significant?

OH Yes indeed it is significant. You are going to want and get the fuel rail damper clip replaced as soon as possible. Bring in the vehicle to a service center. There's obviously no charge in getting the campaign completed on the vehicle.

Driver, I contacted the seller and informed them of the recall, asked for it to be handled ASAP...they are in Mount Ulla, NC...would you think they could have this taken care of before I get down there next weekend?

Wonder if there is the possibility it was taken care of and not reported properly? I doubt it, just wondering.

Thanks, driVer...I wasn't thinking the owner replaced the clip, maybe the RV dealer who moonlights as a WH service center?

I'm trying to contact the owner to answer these questions and to see if they can have this taken care of before next weekend.

Would WH service centers try to get this in ASAP or would they make the seller wait for an appointment...I hope it's the former and it can happen this week, otherwise my trip (and potential purchase) will be delayed.

On edit, the owner purchased this from an RV dealer who is also a WH service center, so one would hope they could get them in quickly to rectify this, but we are talking about RV dealers here...

The WCC service center can change the clip quickly and you should be good to go. If you have the opportunity to get the motorhome on your time line then I would say go for it and get the clip replaced after you take ownership and have had yourself assigned as the owner of record with Workhorse. (We can help you with that) You may want to remove the doghouse and take a look at the damper but if the clip isn't cracked or leaking it should hold up until you get to a service center.

IF you can get the campaign resolved before you take possession that's OK too IF it happens in good time. Like I suggested if you're expecting this thing and your timeline is important then it's all up to you.

If you click on THIS link it'll should a number of Workhorse service centers on the Jersey shore or close to it. I'm not sure if your a Yankee or a Rebel Jerseian.

Just enter your zip code in the space provided.

Well, seems like the current owner's dealer will be able to take care of this recall issue next Tuesday/Wednesday, so hopefully, all systems are still GO! They gave their dealer an earful for not registering them as the WH chassis owner and not informing them of the recall...doubt it fell on concerned ears...but all's well that ends well...thanks all & miket/driVer...

And driVer, we met at a rally in Cape May last June (I think it was), and we're native Yankees...

==anybody know if this is significant?==

On some engines Chevy installed the wrong fuel clip (NOTE: This is a GM recall, Workhorse is just passing it on) and the fuel clip can rust and fail. Spraying raw fuel all over your nice hot engine. Which predictable (FIRE) results (FIRE) which (FIRE) will (FIRE) totally (FIRE) destroy (FIRE) your (FIRE) nice (FIRE) new (FIRE) house.

I'd get it fixed.. .in fact I DID GET IT FIXED

If you have to pay to do it.. Expect about 15 minutes labor, and I don't think that clip cost more than a couple of bucks.

Follow Up: Seller has informed me that the recall/campaign was taken care of yesterday by their RV dealer.
