Anybody know anymore about the Workhorse SSC package than is given on the the Workhorse site? Is it their version of a Banks system or the Ultrapower system? Has anybody looked into it further.?

Don't think the SSC does anything to the engine. The improvement is the addition of a rear trac-bar.

The SsC includes a set of stainless steel headers, but leaves the factory mufflers. Also it does not change the computer programming.

The ETs from 0 to 60 and 40 to 60 have been improved so the tuned Gale Banks Engineering exhaust headers are making a difference. The track bar works fine too.

SSC Horn button

Chrome exhaust tips

SSC exterior badging

IPD designed track bar

Banks designed tuned exhaust headers

Performance tuned Bilstein shock absorbers (standard on W24)

Transmission temperature

Manifold intake pressure

Engine intake air temperature

Pair of exclusive owner jackets

The SSC is a limited time offer so they may discontinue it at any time.

I don't understand.
Why would they discontinue this package? Does Workhorse not want to offer their customers better performance?

I don't understand.

It's like any other business. If Frisbees are selling and hula hoops aren't then it makes no sense to load up the warehouses full of hula hoops.

It works the same way in the Automotive/RV/Boat business. The bottom line is that WCC has announced that the SSC Option is a limited time offer. It's obvious that WCC has loaded up their parts organization with an indeterminable amount of parts adequate to provide a quantity of SSC optioned chassis. If the OEMs don't order the product on the other hand the SSC will no doubt sunset.

The SSC package is not a direct consumer product. You can individually buy all the major components but you won't be able to get the SSC logo items and IP.

Buying headers, a track bar and Bilstein shocks can be accomplished by anyone needing to do so.

WCC has made it adequately clear that the stock chassis is perfectly adequate to power and control motorhomes. The SSC Option is fun stuff and it's being made available for those folks that want every bit of performance that can be extracted from a motorhome chassis not to mention the vanity items like the SSC logo, jackets and dash instrumentation.

Driver, you listed "Manifold intake pressure" as a feature of the SSC package. Do you mean as in "Vacuum Gauge"?.. If not, then what would that be?...rgr..
