My speedometer on my Workhorse UFO chassis started jumping around like it was an electric meter. It jumps from 40 to 90 and back and fourth in-between, over and over. The Tachometer does it also but not as often. Anyone heard of this . There is a Instrument cluster check on the menu, but everything tests out fine.

JimO, Where are you located? Might be able to hook you up with some talent that will figure that out for you.

When the same thing happened to my UFO. it was a loose/burnt plug wire. New plug wire fixed it.

Hmm. This happened on my return home trip from having Workhorse related things done. Six out of eight spark plug wires were loose or burned. I had new high temp wire set installed and new spark plugs. I don't remember the type but it cost $511.00. I had lost about 1-1/2 miles per gal and power. On the way home I only slowed down a few MPH. On the way there I slowed about 30 MPH and was in 2nd gear with the peddle to the floor. Do you mean spark plugs? I am in Canby, Oregon.

My problem was 1 burnt/loose plug wire only, the plugs were fine.

Yep, one plug wire was off the plug completely and the other was very loose. The speedometer problem went away. Worth mentioning, the beep for the parking brake warning was non stop, and changed to about 20sec then stopped which is normal. Installing new high temp wires, is difficult because of the limited space on the two inside plugs. There is very little space, and the high temp wires set is larger than normal. They must snap in place. They are sending me a new wire, because I think one of the wire set has the connection just a tiny bit too far back in the rubber shroud and it won't seat completely. Thank you very much. This forum is a time saver.
