Workhorse Vent Kit

Has anyone made their own Vent Kit to get air around the spark plugs? Mine is one of the originals and the hoses are pretty much gone. What did you use for hoses? I found a 4 inch aluminum ducting at Home Depot but not sure I want aluminum around the plugs and wires.

That's exactly what I did. Painted it black so it blended in. Zip tie it to the frame and aim it down each bank. If you go plastic, it could melt.

There is 4" black stovepipe you might want to look at.

I'm surprised your original hoses are shot. I had WH factory service install the kit under warranty more than 10 yrs ago and today they look just like new. Mine are high temp rubber brake hose. Maybe they substituted some low cost dryer vent hose or something?
