I realise this article was back in December, but it appears Navistar has been way behind in it's financial filings for some time.
Navistar to be delisted
Does anyone have an update?
I also appears that Ford and Navistar are having hard time working with each other.
6.4L diesel production halted

Workhorse was never a public traded company and it has executed very well over the years.
About Navistar, "Bear Stearns analyst Peter Nesvold said he expects any selloff of Navistar stock to be ``short lived.'' The company's operations are ``hitting the cover off the ball,'' he said in a research note. Nesvold rates the shares ``peer perform.''
I expect that the execution of Navistar's business plan will go forward successfully as it has in the past.

In an article I saw on this subject, the Navistar spokesperson said they didn't have a problem shipping engines to Ford if Ford would just pay for them. It appears Ford may be the one having problems.

I found it interesting that "Business as Usual" meant the Navistar is way behind in reporting financial data. This is never a good sign. While Workhorse is a separate company they are dependent on the strength and weakness of it's parent company.

It's interesting that if there are no problems with the engines, why cant't the fiver crowd find any F450 or larger vehicles to purchase. F250 & F350 are available, with different engines.

As always Fred, it's about the money. Ford wants Navistar to kick in some bucks to help Ford pay off the law suets over the previous series of power strokes that were Found On the Road Dead Ford will have to pay, they have no alternitive power source for their trucks. I never could understand why Ford doesn't use the subsidiary Cummins for engines. Let Dodge use the power Max.

Ford doesn't own Cummins, but I'll bet they wished that they did! Proof? Please see what Cummins says.

The way I heard it, Ford bought some stock in Cummins back in the early to mid 90's. It caused an uproar similar to the events in Roswell, NM. The stock was sold but the ghost keeps crawling out of the morgue.

An interesting side note: Monaco Corp. and International Truck and Engine Corporation, the principle operating company of Navistar, announdced a joint venture to manufacture rear engine diesel chassis. Story here.

Even more interesting is that Swagman RV of Australia will begin building motorhomes in China and importing them to the US. Swagman has been using Roadmaster chassis for several years. A review of Swagman's web site reveals that these motorhomes are rather upscale, it will be very interesting to see how some of old established RV manufacturers keep-up with new competition.
