05 Fleetwood no brake light challenge

05 Fleetwood Jamboree, 30' class C E450 V10. My wife drives this rig pulling a 2 horse trailer to competitions around Texas. Yesterday while traveling the trailer harness cable got caught between the hitch and couple. The cable was shredded and pulled out of the plug. I drove to her location and replaced the trailer harness and plug. Everything works as it should except the brake lights. There are no brake lights on the coach or trailer. Disconnected still no coach brake lights. I have turn signals, tail lights, hazard lights and backup lights on both vehicles. All the fuses under the dash and hood check good. The brake light switch works correctly. I am out of knowledge to go forward! Any suggestions will be appreciated!

Is the contact for the brake light hot in the plug on the coach?

There is 12 volts + at the brake light switch. I have this same question posted on the Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forum and they suspect the multi function switch. It seems bizarre to me that the switch would go haywire rather than blowing a fuse, but fuse 39 reads good with a probe and meter. There is no high mount stop light switch on this vehicle so I don't have that to verify with. She just got back last night with the rig so I am planning on confirming what does and doesn't work before I tear into the MFS.
