1985 Class C Charging System

Hello. Would anyone know /have the info on the 1985 E350 Charging system. I,m looking for the gizmos that control charge to the camper battery while the motors is running. Also what did they use back then to Charge the batterys when plugged in to shore power. Were converts used then? Isolators ????? Switch boxes?

Yes they used converts back then.
There never were any Ford wiring diagrams that show the link to the home system to engine charging system.
The device could be one of two items.
1. It could be a Solenoid switch (looks like a old Ford starter solenoid but is not the same part).

2. As I have on our 85 SCRs on a heat sink.
However I will post you a diagram of our 85 Ford RV with the SCR on a heat sink.
