1990 E4OD revisited

In other posts my problems were overheating the transmission in my 1990 class a motorhome with an e40d trans. i just finished a 1000 mile trip towing a jeep cherokee through the hills of Virginia and Pennsylvania show no codes or overheating. I changed fluid and added an electric fan to the external cooler. Transmission shifts perfect.
I have had reports of my brake light sticking on and I understand this can cause torque converter to un lock. does this sound like it could be the problem. trans shops only want to do a rebuild or replace and not look for a problem.

Sounds like it needs a trip to a real mechanic, not a trans shop. Yes, running with the torque converter unlocked will cause heat problems in the E4OD and yes, the brake light circuit can do this so you at least need to get that fixed.
