Sound like an open fuse link that feeds the common contact of the fuel pump relay.

Yes you could use an in line fuse holder with a 20 amp fuse in it so you would not burn up any wiring.

Thank you Mr. Subford. I shook some things up and found that the fuel pump works with the key on. Still no fire though. Could the EEC be the problem?

Are you saying that the fuel pump runs all the time the key is in the run position with pin #6 of the self-test plug NOT grounded?

I think you are saying that the self-test connectors pin #6 is not grounded.
And you are saying the fuel pump will run all the time the key is in the run position with the engine not running.

If so the clock inside the PCM is not running and you need to replace PCM Computer.

Not sure what you are calling the EEC. The ICM or the PCM.
When most say EEC they talking about the PCM.
PCM: Powertrain Control Module.

Your right the #6 was not grounded, as for the pump stopping in one second I cant tell. As for EEC and PCM this according to the list you sent me, EEC is indeed used for RELAY on the 1992 F53, which I have. MH a 1993 Winnebago "N" After all I have read, and your advice and print outs. I was leaning to replacing the PCM. Can you show where it is placed on my 1992 Winnebago, thank you

If the pumps shuts off after one second then the PCM/EEC may be OK.

Open the PCM and look for leaky caps.
Then replace the caps.
Other than the caps the PCM very seldom goes bad.

Here is where I bough my caps.
Note I bough enough for 5 PCM Computers.
