1997 Ford F53 Brake Pins

Just going through my brakes, replacing lines, pads, and pins.
I got the old pins out, lubed up the channel, pins, and caliper ends with synthetic brake lube, bled the system and the rotors seem to be dragging a bit more than I would expect. Anything odd about these, or did I miss something.
Still have not taken it out for a dive, wondering if they'll loosen up after a short trp.
Any advice?

If it's back together correctly then maybe a road test will get eveything back into position.

You don't say if you cut or replaced the rotors. The new pads could be dragging on the edges of the contact surface, where to old pads didn't.

If it uses the steel covered, rubber slide pins, they may need some movement to let the caliper settle in position.

Rotors were good, no runout.
It uses the diamond shaped steel, rubber insert pins.
I used synthetic brake grease on them, It's a little thicker than bearing grease, hoping it wasn't too thick.
Both front wheels felt a little stiff.

The pads are probably dragging on the outer and inner edges of the rotor, where the old pads didn't rub.

Put a hundred miles on it and see what happens.

If the brake fluid had not been serviced/replaced on a regular basis the calipers could be the problem. The fluid gathers moisture and moisture does damage to the exposed area as pads wear. This is the reason I always put on new Calipers, I only dislike the job once. Since its all back together I would drive it a bit doing several max braking from a higher end speed, not panic just good hard braking. Might just wear in the pads a bit and loosen things up.
