2003 F53 speed sensor location

Can anyone tell me the location of the speed sensor. I have a 2003 triton v10 with a bad speed sensor. Trying to replace it. Is it on the rear end or the left front top of the tran case?
Thanks in advance for your help.

ABS sensor is Top / forward of differential on my 2001

Spray it down with liquid wrench a couple days before attempting to remove it. after you remove the bolt, wiggle it back and forth to get it to break free. wipe the area so all the crap won't fall into the hole once you get to come out.

One nice ting about these motorhome chassis, once you get under there you can sit up and relax as your working on stuff.

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.

There is a speed sensor on the engine. There are two on the transmission. There is one on the rear axle. Which one are you looking for?

Mark, thanks for your reply. The symptom is the speedometer is giving me very inaccurate, all over the place readings but everything else on the cluster is working properly. I am not sure which one it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's the sensor on the rear axle, or the wiring to the sensor.

That is what I had replaced on mine a couple years ago. A check engine light showed up and Ford (Grand Prairie Ford) replaced it. About 400.00 including labor.

I can only remember the tech telling me it was on the outside upper of the transmission case/housing.

Sorry not more help, but Mark has you taken care of anyway I see.

You're describing one of the transmission speed sensors. Neither of them has anything to do with the speedometer. Both are used to control the transmission.
