In researching the oil (dinno vs syn) I will use for the oil changes on our new HM, I learned that Ford uses Syn Blen (see my post in Forum Discussion "Does Synthetic Oil Extend Oil Change Times?") from the factory. What I did notice is that Ford recommends, under normal operating conditions, the oil be changed every 5,000 miles nontowing. However, for the 2008 F53 22K chassis, Ford now recommends 7,500 miles between changes.

Can anyone tell me how they are able to do this? Does the 2008 model year use a larger oil filter, full synthetic oil, new internal oiling in the motor, or is 7,500 miles simply the new standard?
