W.J.Demo thank you for the reply, I've yet to find any real detailed information and if the RV manufacturers will be using the new 7.3 engine in Class A Gas Motorhoms. Also, It will be interesting to see if any of the upgrades actually help stabilize the MH and make it better driving from the factory rather than adding thousands of devices after purchase.... I"ll take a look at the other posts.. Thanks again.

There was some unconfirmed info that mentioned much thicker sway bars 2" in diameter. Assuming otherwise similar dimensions this would be a big upgrade in sway bar stiffness more so than the standard CHF and more than current after market 1.75" sway bars.

I just looked at the pricing (it's a bit confusing) but it looked like choosing the 7.3 gas and 10 speed added $1700 on the F350 4x4 I priced out... does that seem right?

Yes the 7.3 is an upgrade from the base 6.2 on the Superduty. On the F53 it will be the only choice in engine.

The F53 is getting the 6 speed, the 10 speed is Superduty only for now.

So, it will be interesting to see what the new setup for Gassers will be once the F53 with the 7.3 engine is shipped. In looking at the Pickups the Superduty is still a much lower GVWR than the new GM HD chassis which will be a big deal for those of us that want to pull a trailer of some sort.

I wonder if in the F53 chassis the 6 speed auto is the same one as in the current V10 offerings.

I hate change overs... when I bought my 2007 GMC 2500 hd crew cab with the 6.0 engine the GVWR on the new body style was less than the classic ( I missed that one).... since the introduction of the new body style they did make various upgrades to the truck through the years.

Honesty my wife and I almost yearly look at the Class A's and think about changing but when it comes down to it with as little use we get .... we tend to stay where we are :-) One of these days though.... something will catch our attention and we will push the buy button.... it's just a matter of finding that one that we can't do with out!

jharrell,

You're correct on the diameter of the anti-sway bars. The stock is 1.50 Front and 1.42 on the rear. That may not be across all chassis weight classes but that's what is on the 18,000 LB chassis. How expensive would it be for Ford to simply add 1-3/4" or 1-7/8" or even 2" SB?? Another no brainer in my book.
