460/7.5L Banks PowerPack System Weight Comparison vs. Stock?

I've read a number of articles on this site and others related to various attributes (objective and subjective) of the Banks PowerPack system on their 460 F53 motor homes.

One thing that I can't seem to find out is what the weight comparison is/was between the stock manifolds + exhaust and the Banks system. According to Amazon the shipping weight of the 49093 system is 165 pounds. Also according to Amazon the weight of just the two manifolds (Dorman 674228/674229) are 22 and 20 pounds, respectively.

Has anyone who has installed this system taken the time to weigh the components before and after? As strange as it sounds part of the potential appeal of this kit for me is some weight savings. My rig has a razor-thin margin between unladen weight and GVWR and every pound counts. I'm on a quest to put it on a diet, and giant chunks of cast iron (manifolds) certainly get my attention.

Input welcome.

The 165 lbs would include the box and packing. So maybe the Banks Power pack weighs around 150 lbs. Then you didn't include the rest of the old system in you weight comparison. Count all the old stuff you are taking off, including the nuts, bolts, "Y" pipe, resonator, intermediate pipe, muffler, tail pipe, 4 clamps, 2 manifold to "Y" pipe gaskets, etc. I suggest it's a wash in weight. Those long tube headers are heavy.
You probably have a rear axle weight issue. If any weight is added, it will probably be on the front axle. I too have to watch my weight closely.
And while I'm on a roll (or rant), clean the exhaust ports with a wet stone and some mineral spirits. No gaskets required. Banks uses a 5/8" header flange. The left frame shield goes on after the left header.
Make sure and use all the included heat shields, or you pay the price later.

Hi-I didn't weigh any of the components but I will say this....it's the best money I've spent on this motorhome. I almost can't even imagine driving it now without the Banks system. The performance enhancement is remarkable and it runs so much smoother. Good luck with your decision!
