Cannot get it to start only hear a clicking sound from somewhere around the motor area. I have had this issue on and off but could get it to start by turning the key from off to start several times. But now the season is over and it is time to resolve this problem. I have it parked at our property during the summer and start it occasionally to keep the fluids moving. I’m thinking it is the solenoid I can hear it clicking but can't seem to find it. Does anyone know where they hid it?

Thanks for any help.
John

If the starter solenoid is getting power and intermittently making a clicking noise with no start, there is a high chance the starter motor is faulty.

It may be as simple as corroded connections. That's where I would start, remove and clean the battery terminals and see if that fixes the problem before throwing parts at it.

It could be the starter relay or the spade connector that pushes onto the starter solenoid that is mounted on top of the starter.
If it is the spade connector just cur back about one inch of wire and crimp on a new one.

The starter relay is at the bottom center of this image.

The spade connector:

Sorry guys got tied up with several projects. And now there forecasting 12 to 20 inches lake effect snow. I'm going with a bad Solenoid had my son reach in to the God forsaking land where they mounted it. A couple of lite taps and it started. We tried from the starter end but could not do anything that would help the issue there so we backed up to the solenoid in the engine compartment. It is to the right of the radiator but buried back so far you have to go from the coach end. Really it is about arms length from either end. And you will pull back a bloody hand from everything that is in the way to scratch and cut. (No stitches required)

Thanks for all the idea's

John
