’97 F53 with tag suspension questions

Anyone know if the tag and real drive axle use the same bolts for mounting shocks?

I have p/n fir the missing upper shock mount bolt as:

58749-S2

I need one and probably should grab extras for all three axles anyway.

My copy if the F53 Chassis service guide meant even mention tags.

Since I have to be under there to get the rear end lights finally sorted, they ALL need to be spliced back together cuz somehow they we're totally shredded apart.Click image for larger version

The tags were added by the manufacturer of the completed RV, not Ford.
Ford provided the requirements for extending the frame to the MH manufacturer and left the building to them.

Who did Rexhall use for their tag axle? JetAir by any chance?

My '97 F53 chassis is fitted with a Granning tag assembly.

Is it a specialty bolt? Pull the other upper bolt and match it up.

Good luck on the lights, that looks like a few hours of 4-letter words and a few 6-packs.

Mor-Ryde also supplied Tag Axles and installed them on the chassis for Motorhome manufacturers. Mor-Ryde built the tag frame, axle was supplied by Dexter brakes by Master Brake which is no longer in business. Although Master Brake is no longer parts to repair the brakes can still be sourced. One of the differences between the Mor-Ryde and Granning is Mor-Ryde used rubber springs, rubber sandwiched between steel plates. Grabbing from what I have seen used air springs.

FYI. Returning from South Texas last spring, I blew out the passenger side tag axle tire. Road service truck didn't have tools to raise axle, or remove tire. I used rear jacks to raise tag axle, with rear duals still on the ground, and he used my tools to change tire. Eddie Elk.
