I have a 2002 Pace Arrow on a 2001 Ford Chassis. My ABS light is on and I assume there is a sensor that is dirty or not functioning. Has anyone had this problem and if so what was the fix.
Thank you

Several years ago, I had this problem and my dealer found a defective sensor on one wheel. Apparently it checks for wheel rotation. Don't know how to check without a scan tool and could be something else too. Dealer told me that it would not cause the brakes to fail if you need to drive to a dealer or something only that the ABS wouldn't work.
Be Careful

Welcome to irv2 KenG. There are many knowledgeable people here and hopefully someone will be able to assist you. I personally have not had this problem.

Same thing on mine, it turned out, that my left front wheel abs sensor wire had broken. Ford charged me $300.00 for a new sensor.
You will have a code show up which wheel is the culpret. Beg, borrow or steal a code reader and check it out. Better yet purchase a scangauge. Neat little device.

hi..on mine the cable wire on the driver side front was installed against the rotor and after 2000 miles it wore through and severed it..got the abs light continuous..it was fixed under warranty in about 1/2 hour..it didn't affect brake operation..jim

I have a 1999 F53 and a 1999 F250--- both had the speed sensor in the differential go bad which resulted in the ABS light coming on as well as erratic Speedo readings. It's about $20 to replace with aq single bolt on the upper drivers side of the differential. Don't know if your newer model may be setup differently or not
