2001 Dutch Star f53 chassis anyone replaced the ABS sensor on the rearend and is it difficult and anyone know a part # to ask for.

Have had it cleaned before and it lasted for a while now its back on. Guess its time for a new sensor.

Thanks

Jimmy

Without knowing the A.B.S. trouble code it is a guessing game as to the cause of the light but the diff. sensor is likely a good guess. The sensor is held in place by one 10mm bolt and should with some care be able to pried straight upwards and out. The sealing o-ring may make it hard to remove so add penetrating oil around the base. From Napa it is product line "UP" part no. 530000. list cost $28.24

My cousin who owns a tire store offered to put a piece of tape over the light on my dash if it bothered me. Cheap fix.

VSS Ford BRAB-130 / F85Z-2L373-AC

This sensor is on the top of the rear axle housing and is held in place with one bolt that can be removed with a 10mm socket. Use small screw driver to gently pry the cable connector tabs on the left and right side out a little and pull the connector off. It helps to lube the o ring on the new sensor a little. Just pull the old sensor and pop the new one in.
