What radio model are you trying to match to the F53 wiring? Many custom audio shops, Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc. can usually help you out. Where are you looking?

Save the plug in from the old radio and you can fabric your own adaptor to the new radio plug.

You don't need a "wire harness" adapter to connect an OEM radio to the wiring in your F53. The existing wire connector, (the one already in your Ford), will plug directly into a OEM radio.

Mel, he's trying to install a Pioneer radio (not an original equipment manufacturer radio) He will most likely need an adaptor that changes the pin out pattern of the new radio to match to the plug the Ford wiring harness.
I guess I'd relax and wait until the new radio arrives. Looks like Ebay has quite a few adaptors for Ford trucks, but you don't know what the Pioneer radio has. With the new radio in hand, you should be able to find an appropriate plug to match the 2 up. Make sure you know the pin outs of the Ford plug under the dashboard.

I would send an email to the folks at Metra or Scosche. Explain what radio you have installed, and they can probably give you a part number that will work. I did this when I changed out the radio in my DP, and both came back with a part number for a harness. The guy at Metra went a bit farther, asked for a photo of the existing connector to make sure it was what I needed.

Is your existing radio a Ford or another brand installed by the MH manufacturer? The reason I ask is my original radio was an Audiovox installed by the MH manufacturer. My new radio came with a pigtail. Using original radio schematic I matched the new radio pigtail to the correct wires. Works fine, I soldered and heat shrinked all the connections.

When I installed a new Pioneer in place of the original Magnedine in my 2002 Brave, I used a faceplate adapter from Radio Shack but could not find a wiring adapter anywhere. Using the wiring diagram with the new and old radio and a soldering iron, I made my own adapter. Was really simple and I did it sitting in a campground in Wyoming as the original radio went out while on a cross country trip.
Good luck with the replacement.

Wow ! lots of good advice and I appreciate it !
I have these Amazon gift cards now and I'm about ready to order my chosen Pioneer radio. I was gonna order the adapter harness at the same time, but now I will wait until I see what I have to work with.
I'll update everyone once it comes and I explore what I have in the MH.
Merry Christmas everyone !!!!!

2000 stormer, There is not a Ford radio wiring harness in your motorhome the coach manufacture installs the radio not Ford.
