Air cleaner fix

I am new to this site and want to thank you for the information I recived . On the TBS on the air cleaner sucking up water . Even though my 2002 chassie has only 22,000 miles I thought I was going to have to pay the whole amount to have this done . But after finding this form I called Ford and they agread to pay 80% of the cost. So off to the local Ford dealer and while there I had them change the fule filter to . The total bill was 140.00 and 100 of it was the recall Ford has agread to send me a check . Thanks for this great site .

Glad Ford covered the TSB for you. These forums are a great communication tool that helps us, the consumer, be aware of potential issues and fixes to problems.

When I took our former rig in for the water ingestion fix, I told the Ford tech I had just changed the air filter to a brand new one. He let me know that the TSB included replacing the air filter so he just handed me one for a spare. I was always thrilled with Ford service.
