I am trying to replace my exisitng motorcraft air filter on my new 2007 Winnebago Voyage, w/ Ford V-10 with a k&n or equivilant. I am not able to cross referance the part numbers. Has anyone made this change, and do you know the K&N part #? K&N has been no help.

Thanks, Stick

K&N does make a filter for the V 10. I saw them at the local Farm & Fleet store when I was shopping for a replacement. They were fairly expensive as I recall. The Fram one I bought was about $20.00 and the K&N was around $60.00.

I put the new air intake tube on last year but haven't driven through any rain to speak of. I would rather ruin the less expensive one if the intake tube isn't the final answer.

Are you sure you want to install a K&N? A lot of talk has been going around for years about them, I had one on mine and took it off didn't notice any improvement. Plus when you re-oil them after cleaning if you get to much oil in filter it can take out your mass air sensor( a costly item).

Hey Stick, I replced mine with a K&N at Advance Auto Parts, they had a full line of filters and cost $46.00. I also loosened the plastic shroud that shields the tube at the bottom of the filter housing , and attached it to the grill creating a "Cold Box". That gave me more clearence from the batteries and lee hot air from the radiator.

Coming back from Ashville, NC to Virginia we
drove in and out of VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS for about 6 hours .... when I checked there was
not any signs of water ingestion.

Happy Travels and keep "tinkering"

Hey, thanks for the help! The problem is they air box has been changed for the 2006/2007 ford chassie, probably to eliminate the water problem they had on the earlier models?? My last V10 had a cone style filter, this one is a flat pannel style.
