That's why I never use the tow/haul. Why put all the load on the engine? USe the brakes on hills, isn't that's what their for?

Yes they are, until they over heat. Then your in for a ride.

I posted earlier, and having driven back to Ohio with the 5 Star Tune, I can say that I'm very pleased with the 5 Star Tune. The improved transmission shift points make a difference and the downshifting when in tow haul mode is a big improvement.

I tow 6800 lbs and I also have the full Banks Power Pack system so I think that's why mine was doing that, now it only goes to 3rd and stays there, however when I am not towing I notice it wont go below 4th sometimes in the hills.

5 Star has made my 5 speed act like it should have from Ford..
