I have a 1997 F53 chassis and after reading on here I found the wiring harness under the dash and pretty sure which connector to get for the controller, I have also found the factory connector on the frame rail at the rear of the coach. Is there a 7 pin "T" connector for this year? I have searched and have only found the 4 pin connectors, but the front connector has the BLUE wire in it for brakes so hopefully I am overlooking it. Thanks for your help!

If memory serves me, Ford shipped the modular connector separately (in your bag) and it was intended to be crimped on the trailer brake controller. I had a Teknosha and that worked out well for me. The blue wire is the wire that goes to the trailer brakes. PS: I had a 1997 F250 PSD SC 4x4 so the electrical systems should be pretty close.

I am not the original owner and don't know where the bag is (I think there is one in my Explorer now that you said that, but its a 2007), but I think I have that part figured out. The one I am wondering about is a 7 pin plug with a "T" adapter on it to plug into the harness at the rear.

I do not think you will find one.
The Ford wiring stopped at C303 and from there back was done by the coach builder.
Here is a diagram up to that point:

So the connector going to the tail lights etc is C303 I take it. I found the plug under the dash to the left of the steering wheel that connects to the brake controller and it has a blue wire coming out that is said to go to the electric brakes on the trailer, would I be correct in thinking that that blue wheel may stop at the factory wiring plug side of C303 since the coach builder didn't use it? Thanks in advance for all the help

I would think you are thinking right about the blue wire stopping at the C303 plug.
However the plug that they plugged into C303 may have a blue wire out of it and then the blue wire is folded back on itself and taped over.

If it will stop raining I'll go out and look, Good call on the folded back wire because they did use a blue wire on the coach builders side, I did notice that much before the rain ran me back in. I will post what I find and maybe a picture to help others.

Found the wire in the harness and as luck would have it the brake controller wiring adapter (that comes in the bag with new vehicle) from my 2007 Explorer plugs right into and matches up great with my 1997! The wire colors are a bit different, but thats not a problem. The blue wire was simply pushed into the harness and all I had to do was pull it out.
