Another thermostat issue

Finally got around to changing my thermostat on my 460 because the old one may have been may have been sticking open.
The one I removed was a Motorcraft ET8E-8575-AA (192 degrees F), original from the looks of it. The one the local auto parts sold me to replace it is a Stant 45359 (195 degrees). The problem is that the Stant looks like a POS compared to the Motorcraft. Should I return the Stant and get a Motorcraft or similar brand or has the technology and construction methods changed.
What are your thoughts .

If it looks different then buy Motorcraft for a little more and know you have an exact replacement.

Since you have all ready condemned it based on appearance, it will make you feel better if you go get the Ford one and install it.
