Anyone have a device from 5 Star Tuning?

I am looking st getting a sct x-4 tuning device from 5 star tuning. I understand the performance changes but want to know if/and how much it increased gas mileage for those that have it. I have a 35' class A with a ford triton v-10. Thank you

Little to no fuel mileage improvement here, but the shifting and performance improvements justify the expenditure to me.

Had a little improvement on mine but trying to check it out coming to Florida and had a 35 mph side wind. But the shifting is great and would buy it again.

Ditto for me. I think the improved shifting and especially less downshifting on uphill grades makes it worth the money.
No improvement in gas mileage as far as I can tell.

I was a fence walker....lots of money to shell out for something you can only read about. I gotta say, tho, after installing this I dont have mush pedal anymore.....meaning, you step on the gas and you "go"!! I took our rig out to Sturgis last year and those hills on I-90 were killing me. Yep, I was pushing that gas peddle but nothing was happening....until the tranny dropped a couple of gears and that v10 started screamin. Now I've got better throttle response thru the rpm range AND that tranny doesnt drop so radically. If I drive it right, it starts by dropping out of od first, then if that's not enough, it comes down 1 more gear. To me, that's how a tranny should work. I'm far from rich, but just in driving pleasure, I give this a thumbs up.

I also installed the 5 Star Tune and would do it again. We just made a round trip to Florida and when using the cruise I could set it at 65 and had very little down shifting. On the moderate grades (mostly over passes) it did not downshift. On the steeper ones it would downshift from OD to fourth which is a very smooth shift and hardly noticeable. On the really steeper ones ( maybe 3 or 4 ) on the whole trip it did drop to 3rd. On the way home I could tell how much grade there was and kick the cruise off and avoid 3rd gear. On previous trips before the 5 Star Tune the downshifting was so bad I gave up using the cruise.
As others have said the throttle response is so much better it makes the 5 Star worth the money. I noticed a slight improvement in MPG when I did not use the cruise control but not enough to make it a selling point. It is a totalling different driving experience with the 5 Star Tune. I am very happy and think it was money well spent.

I agree with everything you've said. I can put it on cruise and sit back and drive relaxed.

Is the Five Star Tune Up a program to change the transmission shift points or do they do something else to the tranny?
Also what are the costs to have this done?

I've got it and would do it again. the improvement in pedal feel, power is great. Made a cross country trip and the power going up hills was very good. It maintain gear longer and down shifted less than without it. As far as mpg's it made no real difference. Besides with the extra power it was hard keep my foot out of it.
