I have a new 37 foot Coachmen sitting on the Ford chassis with the V-10. That’s the F53 I believe.

By the way someone told me GM is no longer making motorhome chassis or at least not selling them to the RV industry.

My question though is about the Banks set up. Has anyone tried Banks and what did you install? The turbo I imagine but I wonder about the seat-of-the-pants feel of the increase in torque. This Ford set up is no jackrabbit, not by a long stretch.

Roll (and not looking for a race car but would like be able to accelerate properly on highway entrance ramps)

I had a 1999 Winnie on the Ford with a Banks system and it really helps with the pickup and towing . My second MH was a Bounder on a Workhorse without a Banks. I think the handling and ride were better on the WH but the Ford w/ banks had more power. Hope this was helpful. Peace...D Good Luck and Safe Travels

For our 08 Bay Star 2901 I feel, that we have plenty of power. We have only the 18,000 lb chassis.

By new I presume your coach is a 2011 model or newer which has the 362HP 3-valve v10 and the 5 speed transmission. I seriously doubt if you would experience any noticeable "seat-of-the-pants" improvement in acceleration by installing the Banks System. You'd probably fare better with the Brazel upgrade to your PCM.

A few years ago I ran across a deal on the Banks system I couldn't pass up, $1,700 for the complete system installed. I had it installed on our 2000 v10. Wasn't overly impressed, however did help a bit power wise for climbing steep mountain grades.

we have installed the banks system on our '08 allegro and found it made a decent gain in hill-pulling power and acceleration. recently added a computer tune from 5-star tuning. again, another big improvement. overall we are very pleased with the combined results........joe and tina
