Banks cool air system

Well just installed the Banks system and had a little issues installing it. Will call banks on Monday to figure out the metal tube. Instructions says put forward mark end forward well no marks on tube. So I tried it different ways and it is so so. Here is the pics and it does sound pretty good. Click image for larger version

Looks just like mine. The only downside is increased noise under heavy throttle. The metal tube gives off more vibration (noise) than the old plastic tube. I plan to install sound deadening material to the tube. I plan to use some of the aluminum clad, self sticking, noise absorbing, type material.

I just ordered some Dynomat. I think I will do the same now with my Banks Cold Air. Amazon has a great deal on a certain pack of Dynomat right now: Dynamat 10455 18" x 32" x 0.067" Thick Self-Adhesive Sound Deadener with Xtreme Bulk Pack, (Set of 9)

$151.00

Ok talked to Banks and found out who ever installed the air tube it was installed backwards. Now it fits like a dream. Plus I asked if it was ok to wrap the air tube to make it quite and was told no problem so I did and here is what it looks like and yes you can not hear the air going through it now. I kind of liked it but DW said nope. Click image for larger version
