My 2015 Vista arms are 9mm. I use Michelin Stealth 28" blades from Walmart, about $18 each. If they were 12mm I would definitely have ground them down.

After three MH's I realized generally speaking the wiper systems on some RV's are marginal at best. Our first class A MH was a 34' Newmar DS. Great RV but the wiper system had to be rebuilt. The blades would cycle past the top and bottom on to the painted surface. Newmar had no solution. I ended up making an adjustable center arm so I could adjust the throw in both directions. Then I reduced the length of the blade to reduce total wight being slung back and forth. That relieved the already compromised system of added weight. They were OK when we sold it in 2010.

It's a good idea that some have reduced the arm width from 12-mm to 9-mm. There's really no reason for the wider arms or for the real long blades. Regarding the thinner wiper arm being to light for longer blades one poster told me he has an SUV with 32" blades using 9-mm arms.

We currently have about 32,000 miles on the RV. During those 640 plus hours of driving maybe 15 to 20 were in rain. No we don't live in the wet Northwest.

I'm sure there are good wiper systems on some RV's. We just haven't had the pleasure of having one. I'll error on the side of caution now and use the cheaper more easily found 9-mm blades. At the same time the shorter blades will save weight and reduce unnecessary stress.
