Grease fittings

Now I just have to find all of the grease fittings and determine if my u-joint has one. Anyone know how many fittings a 2013 Ford F53 chassis has?

Adam1219,

The Ford F-53 chassis has had 9 grease fittings almost since the very beginning which was on or about 1999. You can google that and find drawings showing their locations. I've looked at Ford service CD's from 1998 thru 2017 and they are all very much alike.

When dealing with a truck chassis it stands to reason there should be many grease fittings. These chassis will under normal working circumstances be worked much harder than a motor home. Ford does make an RV chassis and may euip their working chassis differently. I'm not privy to all that they do. I'm just applying some common sense. If Ford can save a dime they will. The MH U-joints don't usually have grease fittings. If they do it usually means they have been replaced with an aftermarket joint that has them.

9 points. The one most people miss is on the steering box, kind of right beside the where the steering link attaches, see drawing.

As mentioned, take a look at the u-joints. They may (or may not) have fittings.

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.
