Bit the bullet.

Well I did it today, went ahead and bit the bullet and ordered the Banks headers and y pipe to go along with my new Stinger system I installed a couple weeks ago. I ordered the Stinger system to save money but after debating it the last week or so I decided to go on and finish the powerpack system. I was going to sell the motorhome and go back to a fifthwheel but after shopping around and discussing it with the DW, we decided that we liked the motorhome better and it fit our needs better. I did not want the hassle of the manifold problems on the 460 again so I said we would keep the motorhome as long as I can permanently fix the problem and get more hill climbing power in the process. I removed the left side manifold today and will finish the demolition day after tomorrow, (tomorrow is DW's birthday). Got all six new tires, Banks Powerpack, Banks Trans Command module, transmission temp gauge, new front shocks, new plugs and plug wires, sway bar links and a super steer rear trac bar so I should be ready to go as soon as the exhaust is finished. Can't wait to see the results of all the improvements. I was very impressed with the quality and fit of the Banks system and can see why it is more efficient. Wandering back west the first of April.

You won't be disappointed I can assure you. I made the same move 2 years ago with my 1989 F350 dually and haven't looked back! Fit and finish of the system was great. The additional horsepower and torque are there! Biggest bonus? Not having to monkey around with gaskets and manifolds anymore! Problems solved! I'm keeping the truck to present to my Grandson when he's old enough to drive in a couple of years as I've traded my 5th wheel in for a motorhome 2 years ago. Enjoy your new ride!
