Can I convert to Orange coolant?
I've always used G05 (GOLD color) coolant in our 2012, F53 chassis, V10, per manual.
I'm getting ready to do a radiator flush and new coolant this winter. But I saw a post here recently that said, Ford issued a bulletin starting in 2015 is changing over to OAT (ORANGE color) Part# VC-3DIL-B.
Is this something I can do OR should do and is it SAFE for my motorhome? Or should I stick with the Gold.
Or is this new orange coolant for later year V10's?
Are there any benefits over Gold?
We are FTers and are planning to go to the West Coast, including Utah & going thru Nevada on our way to Yosemite next summer so of course we'll be climbing a lot of grades.

I would stick with coolant specification that is in my engine/chassis owner’s manual. You don’t know what else was changed to accommodate a coolant change in later models.

Somewhere in you manual there should be a Ford Customer Service phone number. Call them.

Or look for a service bulletin that supersedes your manual with the new coolant. Personally, I never believe a dealer without seeing it on paper but that’s just me.

OP here.
Ok after checking all my notes from my mechanic when he did our flush last time and reading more online I should always use MotorcraftPremium Gold Engine Coolant with bittering agent (yellow-colored) 2VC-7-B / WSS-M97B51-A1.
So there you have it. Staying with the Gold.
BTW...just as a side note, I read a post on another forum from a Ford Parts guy and he said that Ford over the years has recommended and now carries 5 different types of coolant depending on the vehicle.

WOW!! I'm always up for using something that is new and BETTER for my vehicles. When Ford lists 5 different types of coolant I'm a bit confused. What is so much different in these types of coolants that requires Ford to use them as opposed to something else??
Can or will using an incorrect fluid cause any issues and what in the heck could that be?? Why make this so darn difficult?? If these fluids are so much better settle on something that is new and good and stay with it.
I realize the internal engines are so different in the types of metals that are involved. I know the coolant can actually create a battery with voltage and current present over time.
Try this sometime. On a cold engine remove the coolant cap and insert a digital volt meters positive probe into the coolant without touching any metal. Then ground the negative lead. If the coolant is somewhat old it can be acidic and when exposed to all the different metals will create a voltage. The current flow and electrolysis if neglected can/will cause corrosion and erosion of internal metal parts.

An extra fun bit is that of all five coolants Ford offers, none are as "good" to use 1960's Fords as Nissan "blue" phosphate type coolant. For various technical specification reasons. Plus it's a snazzy blue color. Toyota has a coolant that is pretty much the same thing for those that prefer pink. You don't get purple if you mix them though, more a really nasty brown.
Not relevant to the vehicles in this thread, just for stuff like cast iron engine 289 Mustangs and such.
