It's mounted between my power converter/charger and the coach battery on my 93 Coachmen Santara class C. It's preventing the converter from charging the battery. I thought it was a fusible link, but it looks completely different from the FLs at the local auto store. Is it a special kind?

I looked at relays also, and they didn't seem to resemble it either. But you're right about it being bad, whatever it is. I checked the power coming out of the charger and it's good, then checked the battery, and it's good when charged. So whatever this little doohickey is, it's definitely bad...

I believe that's what it is also. Can I pick one up at an auto store or is this something that has to be gotten only at an RV supplier? It would seem pretty common to get at a Pep Boys, but I don't recall seeing one when I was looking in their fuse section. But then, I was just going on memory and not a pic...

That is NOT a relay of any sort. Relays normally have multiple contacts whereby a lower voltage is used to activate it thereby allowing higher voltage to pass through.

It is most likely a 30 amp circuit breaker that usually will reset itself which sounds like it is doing.

So replace it with one of the same rating and you should be fine. Check with NAPA, I am sure they will have one.

Looks like a 30 amp breaker. Have you checked it with a test lite to see if it for sure is bad. Hook the lite to ground and touch the other end to both posts one at a time, if it lights up on both its good , if only on one bad, if niether maybe bad wiring.

Check the bottom with a flashlight. If there is a small button (or tab) push it in. There are two types of circuit breakers. (And yes this is a circuit breaker.) auto reset and manual reset.

Hope you found one at the parts store. If they did not have one you may find one at a marine shop, my boat has 3 or 4 of them.

Suggestion: when the label is that clear, GOOGLE: Whatever is printed on it.
