I have an old Gateway (probably 2004 or 05) LT that my DW was using. At my bosses request I took it home when I retired in 2006. They would have scrapped it anyway. My DW found it in the closet. I plugged it in and the battery won't hold a charge but as long as it's plugged in no problem.

I asked my Son-In-Law how to change the year of the computer and it's very simple. If you know how to change the time do the same thing on the year. Click on the time then change the year. When I did that it was already set to 2007. That was the last time we had that PC in service.

I inserted the 2009 Ford CD and followed the prompts. It set up the program and everything worked. Then I tried my 2013, 2015 and 2016 CD's and they all worked as well as the schematic part of them which I could never get to work before.

I thought I'd have to change the date to 2014 or 2016 to get those CD's to work but I'm not going to do anything as long as it's working. I won't be using this old LT for anything else but Ford CD's so I'm good with it. I will ask my SIL about the date thing and report what I find.

On my 2001 Mirada (2001 F53) there is no way to turn off the DRLs. They ar eon anytime the ignition switch is ON, regardless of transmission, etc.

I added a switch and relay so I could turn the lights off. See the how-to I wrote for this.

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.
