Hi.
We have a 2008 fleetwood southwind 32vs. I was looking at my paper work and saw were the chassis says it is a f550. I keep seeing on the forum that every one says theres is on a f53? Is this a error or not? Is it anything to worry about?
Thanks for the help
Chris

I have the same question but I looked at the brochure listed on this thread and it appears that our f550 is the f53. I have a 2007 Newmar Baystar. We don't have the pickup undercarrage and the smaller gas tank. We also have the straight rail chasis. There are many other similarities with the f53 and not the f550 listed as a heavey duty pick up. What ever, it works for me and I have always had good luck with Fords and not so much with GM

On my 02, everything in the Winnie manual calls it a F-53, however I have the " windshield sticker", like you see on new cars and trucke, that list it as a F-550. Go figure.
I don't think it makes any difference. When you look for parts, just tell the counter person to look for either, the parts are interchangeable.
