Here's a link of pics of what other members have done.

CHF Pics

I used some old shock ends and some extra chromoly tubing I had laying around, to weld up some longer links. My rear bar will hit the diff if I jack it up so the rear wheels are off the ground.

Ya I have a 2013 MH on 2012 chasss and. didn't see one under the front. Wonder if the Ford factory trak bar for 2013 will also fit the 2012 chassis.

It appears that the heavy duty trac bar was an option on the stripped F53 MH chassis

Same for the 2013s but I would imagine they would fit, same chassis...

A front track bar has been standard on some, and optional on all F53's since 2004.

It's on page 23 and 24 here:
2004 Ford "What's new" info

There's a picture there too. I've posted pictures here of the components, if you search with my username I'm sure you could find them.

So I guess it depends on the coach manufacturer as to whether you have a front trac bar.......how much can the bar be when ordered in large numbers ??

I don't have enough experience to tell if I need a front trac bar. I moved both sway bars and fabbed up a rear track bar, which helped with the sway when pulling a 5K enclosed.

My front U-bolts look like they are long enough for some thru some plates on the top or bottom of the axles. I want don't to disturb the front geometry as it is tracking just tine fine. 99% of the roads I drive on are 4 lane lain divided.

My trailer is is right at 5000lbs, but I think i increased it my pulling power with this setup of chromo,y rie-rods a aircrat rod wnds. The bolts are all grades.

This what I'd liked to add to mine. Haven't looked if the mounting brackets are there.

Looks like I would have to add a plate or weld to the bracket just above the springs and in front of the shock. I do have so "Heat Damn" paste to isolate the spread of the heat to the springs ans surrounding erea.

It would have to a variation be of something like this stock one.

The bottom pic is a typical one without the trac bar.

Whoever posted this original series of pictures, I need some more close-ups of the front side passengers frame mounding side. I have the ones of the frame side, but they don't clearly show how the frame side mounts or if it mounts to the frame of cross member.

I think I can use these existing holes for the driver side axle for a track bar mount. Just need to see how the frame side mounts is. If need be, I could even well a "T" plate on the top of the spring plate.

For my 2004 the passenger side bar is mounted to a casting bolted to the frame and the driver side is bolted to a mount that is integral with the sway bar bracket for that side.

Thx 48. Great drawing.

I shoulda asked: What is the distance from the top of the axle pad to the bottom trac bar hole and the distance from the bottom, outside of the frame rail to the top trac bar hole? If you going to get under it with a tape, please measure the bar from hole to hole.

I don't think it is all that critical, just would like to make mine close.

Does it make any difference if the motorhome is on the leveling jacks or not?

I shoulda said that the diagram was from my 2004 shop manual and that I don't actually have a track bar on my particular coach. Sorry.

Thx anyway for the diagram. I may abandon my project for lack of a good frame end support bracket. It does look like a bolt-on item, though. May just go buy one from Ford or even a junk yard.

I'll pay more attention to front end sway when my season starts in Oct. I may not need one. I already did my sway bars and made a rear trac bar. Besides that, I don't have a torque wrench that goes that high.

I may attempt to do the front tomorrow morning if I have time before it gets to hot. From what I have seen and read all I have to do is remove both bolts, raise one side and reinsert the bolt and then raise the other side (jack may be necessary) and install the other bolt. I would then tighten them both and check with my torque wrench. I will need to research to find what to torgue them to.

Being I did not get an answer to my post a few back about the leveling jacks I am assuming this makes no difference.
