RideAHD,

Yes you can just move the links to the inner holes and be done with it. We, some did not like the severe angles after doing the CHF the simple way. We believed it would work more efficiently if the SB were leveled or at least closer to level to reduce the severe angle.

Any lever system using severe angles will not work as efficiently. Either extending the links about 3" or adding the plates will level the SB and will/should allow the system to work more smoothly and efficiently.

Just performed the CHF yesterday and had the Safe T Steer installed today. The CHF had a major impact on the way the Vacationer handles. The Safe T Steer made it just a little better yet. Glad I did both. By the way, the tan Safe T Steer is now white so don't accuse the dealer of installing the wrong one. Don't ask me how I know.

Just finished CHF on my New-to-Me 1999 Southwind. I extended the front links by 11 1/2 inches on this one (I only did 10 inches on my old Mirada).

Geometry looks like original.

CHF today on my 2017 Newmar 2903

Waiting for the mud to dry a bit before I can test drive it.

The color choice was based on the application of the color wheel principle, personal taste, and overall impact on observers.

Plus, it was the only color I happen to have....

Red is a serious break with tradition. CHF Plates historically been either blue or just rusty. Perhaps an exception can be made this time and this installation can be approved. I'll have to check with TeJay.

Man RED is cool, especially if it's all you have. Just about the only color that I don't like is black. You just can't see it in the pictures.

Hi John!!!!

Hey TeJay. We have to keep an eye on these guys. First it's red CHF plates, then what's next? Pink? Purple? Polkadot?

It looks like the link angle of Yarddroid's plate and my 11 1/2 inch extended link is identical.

That's so disappointing. I was hoping for an SS454-style racing stripe
