Hi TeJay,
I agree with everything you said in post 204. To clarify on my track bar comment, that was done after the CHF. After I did the CHF at the campground a third of the way into our 2500 mile trip I noticed a significant improvement. It definitely made the rest of the trip less stressful. By the way, I was flat towing my 4dr Jeep (6000#) which I know contributed to the sway. I put the track bars on after that trip so I could never compare the difference without the Jeep in tow. My next trip was a short 700mi without the Jeep in tow and this time RV went down the road like it was on rails. A month later the big test came up with a 1200mi trip with the Jeep in tow. Same thing. It was like the Jeep wasn't there.
So for my needs this was an important and good decision. I believe that if I wasn't flat towing the CHF would have been sufficient. That's for my RV.
Like you elaborated in your post there are tons of variables that can dictate the modifications to our RV's.
To all, enjoy your RVing to the fullest.

iHoliday,
That's great news Mike. Glad it worked out for you and the family. We spend a lot of time behind the wheel, or riding in our coaches and as far as I'm concerned that's also part of the vacation so I'd like it to be as pleasant as possible.

Many, many happy miles

TeJay

Just FYI, on my unit the drivers side rear bracket broke with only 6,000 miles on it. Not becuase of the CHF, but bad bracket. See HHTSA site or call ford for TSB Bulletin Number: TSB-12-6-1
FORD: ON SOME MOTORHOMES, THE REAR STABILIZER BAR BUSHING BRACKET MAY HAVE LOOSE OR BROKEN BOLTS, RESULTING IN NOISE FROM REAR OF CHASSIS. *PE

I need to change my vote from “Mine rides fine, but I may do the fix later” to “I did the Fix. It reduced sway and my coach handles better.”

RDG I agree with you after reading the TSB and looking at the diagram, the holes are drilled to accommodate the Z brackets second hole
This being said I have done the rear CHF and felt quite an improvement. I did the front and did not like the angel of the links, looked into new links for approx $125 decided to go with beefier Hellwig set up for $490 as you can see the links are very substantial Click image for larger version

This was by far the most noticeable improvement I have done

I performed the CHF thanks to the information on this site. Made a world of difference!

I appreciate everyone's input up and down this forum!
