Hi changed the plugs wires and Ox senser on a 97 F53 Chassis with 460 and now the check eng light is on. It was not on before and I have not moved it just did the change. Running fine with no miss or prob and I only changed one plug and wire at a time so did not get that wrong. Any advice?? Thanks Eddy from the great white north

I would disconnect the chassis battery to clear it and see if it came back. If it does, I suspect it is oxygen sensor related.

Yes, I agree with John Hilley. Wait 10 minutes and rehook up the battery.

Looking for the OB II conection. I am looking to read the codes off it and I cannot find the plug. I have checked all around the fuse panel under the hood and under the dash and just cannot find it. I have a 1997 Triple E Class A MH with a ford 460 on the F53 Chassis. Eddy

Eddy W,
The obd2 connector is usually located to the right of the steering wheel column...you should find it 6 to 8" from the bottom of the dash, I usually have to stick my head up there with a flashlight

Actually his '97 coach will be OBDI and the connector is often under the hood area.

Hi, I know this might be late, but I just registered on this site.
I have a 96 f53. I might also be under the dog house mounted on the side of the housing. I have to use a test light and count the flashes to read my codes.
Good luck.
Happy motoring.
