CHF Question

Hey to all, I have a question about the CHF. I have a 2013 Adventurer 32H. Crawled under the front end the other day to look at what's involved with performing the CHF. By just looking at it, it seems my links (I think they're called links) will not reach the inner holes. is this just appearing that way or will it be a job to attach them up ?

You detach the links from both ends of the swaybar. Then you push the link end of the sway bar upward until the lower end of the links go into the inner holes. The bar ends up no longer being parallel to the ground. Looks wrong but works great. While your at it, if you haven't already, replace the stock rubber bushings with the poly ones available on eBay.

Ford started using a poly bushing in 2012 so it won't be necessary to replace your stock ones. What you were told was a good idea. The blue poly bushing are way better than the stock rubber ones. Fords poly bushing are not blue but I was told buy the guy who makes the blue ones that's what he heard from Ford.

If you perform the CHF it will require more force to sway the MH. So we get better sway control. That extra force is being controlled by the bushings as the coach tries to sway. The bushings keep the bar straight so the force exerted on it twists the bar. I think one can see how it is necessary to have a good solid bushing.
