Gary, I haven't run any numbers yet. I am keeping a trip diary, along with all fuel reciepts. I been messed up a couple times with pumps that shut off at a hundred and I just said screw it, so I didn't get a true fillup.
When this trip is done, we'll run numbers for the whole trip, and I'll be able to compare (maybe) to last years if I can find those numbers. I'm really not that into the mileage, particularly not the tiny gains you'd be talking about, if any.
I've put 350 into the tank from chicago to colorado. it was full when we left, and it's close to full now.
And it just flat out runs better. I spend a LOT less time with the throttle on the floorboard. And a lot less time with the tach over 3500 rpm. I don't know if that translates into better economy.
