I just finished a fairly lengthy project. I have a 2002 Fleetwood Fiesta. I removed all the upholstery from the driver’s seat and arms, the passenger’s seat and arms, both dinette seats and backs and the seat and back of the fold-down sofa. I washed them in cold water on the gentle cycle in the washer and air dried them. Then I reinstalled the upholstery on each item. I did one at a time. I started with the dinette seats then went to the driver’s seat, then to the passenger’s seat and then to the sofa. After ten years and 75,000 miles they were all pretty cruddy. Everything looks and smells like new now.

That 's a big undertaking! Good for you! Our first RV was a 1991 winnebago warrior and I did the same thing, just washed in cold gentle cycle and dried in the sun. The original upholstrey too. But i do find keeping the shades closed is important the UV really damages older fabric quickly.
