My F53 1992 chassis has lost cruise for the second time. First fix was expensive and I think it must be something simple that I can do myself. Where would the fuse be.....what can I look for to save the dealer from fleecing me again. They won't specify just what they did last time.

If your's was part of the recall then there is a fuse in the new wire bundle attached to the brake reservoir.

A good place to start is the brake system. Remember when you put on the brakes, it releases the cruise control. Check taillight bulbs and brake light switch. It is hard to believe that the dealer won't tell you what he did last time. We always told our customers the problem and what we did to fix it. I would change dealers.

I do not have any modification to the system that I know of. Are recalls time specific if it still needs doing.??????

Check the switch at the brake pedal, may be bad or just out of adjustment.
