I have a 2000 Allegro on a F53 chassis. The cruise control (speed control) switches on the steering wheel are not backlit. All other lights seem to work fine. I have read that some Ford Models did not have backlit speed control switches before 2001. Does anyone know if the cruise/speed control switches on a 2000 F53 chassis are backlit?

The one on our 2000 isn't back lit either. Really don't see a need for it.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like I will have to do without. I have a 2001 F250 and the controls are lit. The backlighting is nice to have.

My 2008 is not backlit. It just has the little raised nubbins on the switches like they think we can read braille.
