The blower motor is fixed. Did it myself instead of taking the time to visit auto parts stored to match it for a compatible unit.
Had to drill out light gauge rivets to get it apart. Inside was fairly clean, brushes like new, bearings tight. The problem was that the lead from the negative brush was riveted to the sheet metal frame with a light gauge rivet. The paint around the punched rivet hole had not removed and the rivet itself was not tight resulting in a poor electrical connection.
Removed the paint around the hole down to bare metal and reattached the lead with a screw, lockwasher and nut. Problem solved.
