I discovered a while back that my chassis battery did not charge when I was plugged into my house 24/7. As a result, my battery would not turn over the engine. I fixed the charging problem with a device to add the chassis battery to the house battery charge.

My question is: Is the battery damaged as a result of such a low charge? I know that deep cycle batteries will often survive a full discharged but the engine battery is not designed to be fully discharged.

I would think that you are fine. A chassis battery can get discharged from leaving lights on or whatever, and with sufficient charging, the battery should be fine.
What device did you get to charge the chassis battery from your house battery?

I purchased an "Ultra Trik-L-Start™ 12 Volt Starting Battery Charger/Maintainer." It seems to work fine. $48.95 plus shipping.
