DIY Five Star Tune

I was trying to locate a Dealer for the Five Star Tune.
I was informed that there are no dealers in Canada.
They said they would ship me what i need.

Has anybody done their own install?

I would like to hear from somebody who has

Doing the install was pretty simple. Five Star gave me some directions regarding ignition and parking brake, charged battery, etc and when to plug the device into the OBD2 port. Following the directions I installed my tune in about half an hour. Most of the time was waiting for the device to do it's thing.

OBD II is 1996 and above, I believe the OBD1 has a square receptacle

We did it ourselves, spent more time looking for the OBD than doing the install.

If you can turn a computer on, or a tv on, and read prompts, you can do it yourself. Its that easy. Once plugged into the OBD port, takes 5 minutes.

Big secret, read the included instructions. This takes maybe 15 .minutes then do the install after you find the OBii port. This then takes all of 15 minutes. Did this two weeks ago, the on screen instructions are great just follow them.

Echoing. Read the instructions, follow the on screen directions. Easy peasy.

Simple to do. Plug it in, follow the instructions, turn the ignition on and let it go through the loading steps. Took me less than 10 minutes. Go for it......

I love the results on mine. The funky, jerky transmission shifts are gone and it improved throttle response and acceleration.

So far, the results are good considering the shifting with the trans. I just installed it a few weeks ago and only took a short trip to a local camping spot last week. I don't have enough mileage to give you a accurate answer of the total performance. I can say on one overpass it did not shift gears and stayed in overdrive. Speed went from 60 mph to 56 mph when it crest the top of the pass. That was a plus from what it did before. Sorry I can't give you more info as of now.......

I did a 5 Star install this morning in about 15 minutes.
I too was nervous going into it, but it was really pretty simple.
